Today's
daily message is a twofold lesson. First, today's verse reminds
us of our need for God.
For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans
3:23
No
matter how good and righteous we may be, at one time or another,
we have sinned. No matter how righteous we may appear to others,
we know that we are guilty of sin. Sin was introduced into
the world by Satan because he wants us to dwell, throughout
all eternity, with him in Hell. That is not what God wants.
We need God to protect us from Satan, the great accuser, and
to save us from our sins.
Therefore,
He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that
He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things
pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the
people. Hebrews 2:17
We
are guilty of sin, but Christ can save us from our sin if
we are obedient to His Word. [Please read for yourself Romans
6:3-11]
The
second message from today's verse tells us that, since we
are all guilty of sin, we need to be compassionate toward
others.
Brethren,
even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual,
restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking
to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Galatians
6:1
We
are each tempted in different ways. We are here to help one
another and to help strengthen one another in order to avoid
giving into temptation. That is one of the main reasons for
this web site and for the daily message. We are here to help
you understand God's Word and His will for your life so that
you may help others.
